CONSULTATION ON PARKING RESTRICTIONS IN FRENCHAY

South Gloucestershire Online Consultations

Frenchay Hospital Area Waiting Restriction Review. A proposal from South Glos Council to increase restricted parking and change current white lines to conservation double yellow. For example here is an area on Frenchay Hill to Pearces Hill which is proposed which will mean residents will be unable to park - have your say if you object by going to 'consultations' on the South Glos Website and you will find 'Frenchay Hospital Area Waiting Restriction Review' on the current list. You can also write in.

This consultation is open from 13 Aug 2018 at 00:00 to 3 Sep 2018 at 23:59.

CARE FACILITIES ON OLD FRENCHAY HOSPITAL SITE (South Glos. Statement 4/6/18)

The intended provision, subject to planning and a successful bid process, includes:
• 45 to 55 ‘step-down’ rehabilitation beds at Frenchay for people who no longer need acute hospital care but need to regain life

skills through a period of rehabilitation before returning home
• 6 to 10 ‘step-up’ rehabilitation beds at Thornbury for those who perhaps for a short period are not able to remain at home but do not need treatment in an acute hospital
• At least 72 care home beds in total across both sites including social care beds for dementia nursing
• An Extra Care Housing Scheme on each site of 50 to 80 dwellings per site
• Other social care facilities that bidders propose to complement the above for the self-funder market.

New hospital housing -

The Frenchay Preservation Society were asked by Redrow Homes to come up with suitable road names for the first phase of the development. We have proposed appropriate historical names.

Bunding replaced on commons

We had requested the bunding on the edges of the commons were replaced to prevent unauthorised access onto the commons. This was replaced in July by Winterbourne Parish Council. Further works including replacing pennant stone bollards were done in 2018.
